AMAZING Old Scale (yes, it is that amazing!)

What a treasure.....what a perfectly wonderful treasure....

The first time I saw this scale I immediately thought of "The Waltons" and Ike Godsey's store.  If you know what I am talking about, bless you.  If you don' missed one of the best TV series of it's day and I would HIGHLY recommend "youtubing" it ASAP!!

Yes, youtubing is a technical term and one of my favorites which I try to use regularly despite the grimacing of those around me (which is why I use it regularly) - I have LOTS of good words and will be sure to share them moving forward.

I had so much fun styling this scale and I kept thinking "good night John Boy" - "good night Mary Ellen" and OH, don't forget the Baldwin Sisters who were always ready to share some of "the recipe".  The Grandma and The Grandpa...I loved that show and couldn't help but laugh at what a complete dork I was being.  Just crazy dork fun during this shoot but wow, what a treasure....

As mentioned, the detail on this old scale is mind-blowing....

I want to research this make and model to learn more about its history.  If it were possible to go back in time and visit the location this scale functioned in all its glory, what stories it would tell!

Had some fun with Kim Klassen's Presets

So after a wonderful afternoon of admiring all of this scale's detail, I also worked on some photos of an old industrial cart I mentioned earlier...

This is just a teaser....

I hope you are having a fantastic week and I look forward to sharing with you again soon.
